Target Engineering wins $38m, 14-month subcontract in KSA

Arabtec subsidiary will provide offshore marine works in the Jubail region of Saudi Arabia

Arabtec Holding, the troubled Dubai-based contractor, has said that one of its subsidiaries, Target Engineering Construction Company, has won a 14-month sub-contract for offshore marine works in the Jubail region of Saudi Arabia.

The $38.6 million deal for the Jubail-3A Independent Water Project site was awarded by Shandong Tiejun Electric Power Engineering Company, a statement said.

The award marks Target’s second contract win in two months, following on from a September award of a $110 million contract from Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations (ADNOC Onshore), for its key facility at Jebel Dhanna in Abu Dhabi.

Under the terms of that 20-month contract, Target will be providing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for crude receiving facilities at the Jebel Dhanna Terminal to import Upper Zakum and non-system crude and transfer it to the Ruwais Refinery West.
