Zoomlion has reported the first sale of a concrete pump in Saudi Arabia, with its Concrete Machinery Branch Company receiving an order for a 174RSU concrete pump from a Saudi Arabian agent.
This is the first time Zoomlion has exported a concrete pump product to the Saudi market, and the company said it hopes it will open up a route for Zoomlion to sell more pumps to the country.
“Historically there has been little demand for concrete pumps in the Saudi concrete machinery market, with sales of most concrete machinery companies concentrated in the areas of concrete pump trucks, truck-mounted mixers, and concrete batching plants,” said a company spokesperson. 
With an expanded presence in the KSA construction machinery market in 2014, this has improved Zoomlion’s opportunities to sell lesser-known engineering machinery products.
The company said that the 174RSU concrete pump, to be shown in the agent’s showroom, will allow local customers to see a Zoomlion concrete pump up close. The agent has said that it will take the concrete pump to the BIG 5 exhibition in Dubai next year.
The 174RSU is powered by a 174kW engine, with maximum concrete output of 78 or 47m3/h, depending the on the concrete pressure options of 50 or 100 bar. It has a 600 litre hopper capacity and a fill height of 1400mm.
