Nakheel has received all tenders for the construction of 942 townhouses at Warsan Village, a new gated community located in the south-west of International City, it has been announced.
Seven proposals were received, with bids starting at $189.2 million, the developer said. A construction contract is expected to be awarded within the first quarter of this year, with completion of the townhouses scheduled for 20 months from the start date.
In a statement, a Nakheel spokesperson said: “Warsan Village will bring a new style of living to this already hugely-popular community.” 
Spanning 47.5 hectares, Warsan Village will also feature a recreation centre, mosque and 250 apartments set above a retail plaza with 365 outlets.
Construction contracts for these will be awarded at a later date.
