Atkins MEA appoints Phil Malem as MD for transport and infrastructure

Malem will oversee the group’s metro, rail, highway and aviation business

Atkins Middle East & Africa (MEA), has appointed Phil Malem as managing director for its transportation and infrastructure business, the company stated in a press release.

Malem, who has been with Atkins for seven years, will head a team of over 600 employees who will focus on providing agile and integrated solutions for the company’s transportation and infrastructure clients in the region.

Simon Moon, Atkins’ chief executive officer, Middle East & Africa said: “Phil brings with him a wealth of broad industry experience, strong capabilities in strategic client engagement and successful business leadership.”

Malem said: “This is an exciting time to be moving into this part of Atkins’ business. We are developing new ideas for front end technological innovation within both transportation and infrastructure which will help provide our key clients with solutions for their most challenging projects.”
