TSME, Al Jaber in recycled aggregate deal

Deal follows the signing of a 15 year Build, Operate, Transfer agreement between TSME and Abu Dhabi Waste Management

Thiess Services Middle East (TSME) has agreed to supply recycled aggregate to Al Jaber Group (AJG) in order to complete the first phase of the project of the Etihad Railway Network in Abu Dhabi.

The deal follows the signing of a 15-year Build, Operate, Transfer (BOT) agreement between TSME and Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre (ADWMC) for the construction and management of a recycling facility for processing demolition and construction wastes.

TSME is to supply AJG with at least 750,000 tonnes of recycled aggregate for the sub ballast layer in this important project. TSME’s Al Dhafra Recycling facility can process up to 600 tonnes per hour of raw construction and demolition waste into high quality recycled aggregates, steel and wood derived fuel.
