Nick Witty to use nearly 30 years of real estate experience to capitalise on opportunities in Doha’s real estate market

International property specialist, Chestertons, has announced the appointment of its new country manager for Qatar who will lead the strengthening of its presence in the country.

The new appointee, Nick Witty, has more than 28 years of experience in the real estate industry covering a range of disciplines including acquisition and disposal, development feasibility, facilities and property management, leasing, marketing and valuation. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992 while working for DTZ in London and is also a registered Valuer of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

The company added in a statement that Witty has expert knowledge of the Middle East region, where he has been based since 1998, including five years in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Robin Teh, valuations and advisory director and country manager UAE, said: “Nick joins the team at an exciting time as the company eyes further expansion in Qatar. His expertise in valuations will be crucial to our continued success in this fast-paced market and I’m confident his experience working with leading multi-national corporates and financial institutions will further our standing in the region.”

Speaking about his new responsibility, Witty added: “The Qatar market remains one of the most exciting and challenging real estate markets in the region. We have seen major infrastructure projects, particular those related to the 2022 World Cup, gather momentum in recent months, which will undoubtedly have a knock-on effect within the industry. I look forward to capitalising on the opportunities and addressing the challenges by utilising the expertise in the Qatar team and helping our clients to achieve their goal.”
