Galfar to complete Azaiba Hotel by mid-2013

$78m, five star property to have 240 rooms, restaurants and multi-level basement parking

Oman’s Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company has said the construction of Azaiba Hotel near the Airport Heights in Muscat is progressing on schedule with opening set by mid-2013.

Developed by the Azaiba Hotel LLC, the $78m, five-star property will have 240 rooms, four differently-themed restaurants and multi-level basement parking.

The project is managed by Mfar Hotels and Resorts Limited, an Indian hotel Group owned by Dr P Mohammed Ali, vice chairman and managing director of Galfar. He is also a major stakeholder in Azaiba Hotel LLC.

Once completed, Azaiba Hotel will be one of the five hotels that the Sultanate is expecting to receive in the next few years.
