Qatar infrastructure fuels apartment demand

Rise in demand set to continue through the year across the country
Qatar’s burgeoning infrastructure development has fuelled a rise in demand for its apartments

Qatari real estate developer Al Asmakh has said new infrastructural projects has propelled demand for residential flats has increased during the third quarter of the year in different parts of the country.

Furnished residential flats has seen demand climb by 3% and non-furnished flats by 1.7%, comparing with the same period of time last year, the firm said.

The market also witnessed similar demand for luxury furnished residential units, with the number of residents looking for three-bedroom units growing by 3.5%, while demand for the same type of non-furnished flats rose by 0.5%, Al Asmakh said.

The rise in demand is seen to continue in the fourth quarter of this year, the company said.
