New medical facility is part of broader healthcare reforms taking place in Kuwait

Construction of a new hospital in Kuwait is set to be completed by April of 2020, the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development has announced.

In a statement, Suad Al-Awadh, who follows the progress of plans and programs at SCPD, said that the $766 million Al-Adan hospital has reached 39% completion. The new medical facility is part of broader healthcare reforms taking place in Kuwait, she added.

The project entails major renovations to the facility, making sure that it is well-equipped to treat an influx of patients, with special centres for surgery and physiotherapy, in addition to other departments, she pointed out.
