Egypt approves new terminal at East Port Said Port

Egyptian Cabinet approves concession agreement to design, construct, manage, operate and maintain multi-purpose terminal

A concession agreement to design, construct, manage, operate and maintain a multi-purpose terminal at East Port Said Port has been approved by the Egyptian Cabinet, it has been announced.

Citing a statement released by the government, Egyptian news portal Mubasher reported that the build-operate-transfer (BOT) agreement will see the allocation of a 900m quay and a 330,000sqm plot of land for the unnamed company.

The terminal will be designed to handle all types of cargo, the statement added.
