Jeddah Municipality has awarded the US based technical and management support services firm, AECOM Technology, a $10mn contract to update the Jeddah Strategic Plan, it was announced on Tuesday.
The contract will see the firm prepare sub-regional, structural and local plans for the area, a report in the Saudi Gazette said. Furthermore, Aecom will provide services including strategic planning and governance, spatial and urban planning and design.
Work will also be done on socio-economic and tourism projects, which will include landscape and environmental sustainability, and infrastructure, as well as engaging stakeholders and communities in various workshops.
