Bateen Al Samar Housing Project on track; works pass 94%

Bateen Al Samar Housing Project is one of the key road and infrastructure projects in Ras Al Khaimah

Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP) has announced that more than 94% of the work has been completed on the Bateen Al Samar Housing Project.

Bateen Al Samar Residential District is one of SZHP’s leading project and is being developed in two phases, including all related facilities. It is located on the north-western border of Sheikh  Mohamed bin Zayed Street after Exit 122 in Ras Al Khaimah.

According to the statement from SZHP, the second phase of the project will have residential units in two areas – one with 277 homes on 521,000 sqm. and the second with 329 homes on 780,000 sqm. Meanwhile, a total of 354 houses will come up over 905,000 sqm. during phase one of the project in an area known as Bateen Al Samar I.

About 888 of the 960 houses are expected to be delivered by the end of 2020, said Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Chairman of the Housing Programme. He was accompanied by Eng. Jameela Mohammed Al Fandi, Director-General of the Programme, and several other leaders as well staff from the customer happiness centre in the Northern Region of the emirate.

Al Mazrouei added that the residential project is being completed despite significant challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic while emphasising on the programme’s full commitment to finalising its projects on time. He further added that the project is in line with the best sustainability and environmental protection standards.
