Sharjah Municipality launches e-services for engineering plans

The municipality said it has added several new features as part of the new service

A senior official has announced that Sharjah Municipality (SM) has launched a digital approval service for engineering plans through its website to facilitate customers’ requests.

Thabet Al Tarifi, director-general of the Sharjah Municipality said the move comes as part of the civic body’s keenness to provide the best services to customers, achieve sustainability and simplify procedures.

Through the website individuals and companies can request a décor permit, utility connection certificate for dwelling units (electricity & water), query consultant and contractor projects, query the status of the building and more.

Khalifa bin Hada Al Suwaidi, assistant general manager of the Engineering and Buildings Sector, explained that the steps for completing transactions were reduced, along with the provision of many features as part of the new service.
