Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the Indian construction and engineering giant, has said that one of its subsidiaries has secured a key contract from the Dubai-based Oilfields Supply Centre (OSC) to design and build one of the world’s largest energy supply bases at King Salman Energy Park (SPARK), in the Saudi city of Dammam.
In a statement, L&T said that the significant contract – which is in the range of $142 million $355 million – was secured by its Buildings and Factories business, part of Larsen & Toubro Construction, from OSC Saudi.
It explained that the project includes the construction of industrial facilities of different sizes, an administration building, ancillary buildings, associated infrastructure, and storage yards along with civil, structural, MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) and architectural works. The project is scheduled to be completed in 30 months, it added. 
On the contarct win, MV Satish, Whole Time Director & Senior Executive Vice President (Buildings), L&T, said: “We thank our client, for reposing confidence in our capability to build a project of such size and scale. This project will act as a business incubator to support the oil and gas industry in the kingdom and help accelerate industrial growth in the energy sector.”
