Oman’s MTCIT invites bids for two ports

Terms of the concession period will be mutually agreed upon on an investment basis

Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technology (MTCIT) has invited bids from construction firms and operators for the development and operation of the Port of Khasab and Port of Shinas.

According to a report by the Oman Observer, the ministry called upon interested parties on a concessionary agreement to develop and operate the two ports. The terms of the concession period will be mutually agreed upon based on an investment basis, the report noted.

Both ports are involved in domestic and international trade, equipped with basic infrastructure and offices for concerned government agencies, the report said.
