Saudi Diesel Equipment Company’s managing director has told CMME that contractor and dealer interest in Saudi Arabia shouldn’t be exclusively focused on its main cities of Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.

In an interview for CMME’s April issue (click here to read online), Abduljawad said that Saudi Diesel’s customers are coming from more and more from region’s previously considered underdeveloped.

“Business is coming out of the secondary cities,” he said. “As an example, we opened a branch in Madinah six months ago and it has exceeded our expectations. We’ve been surprised by the amount of projects. Now you have to get closer and closer to your customers.  We are opening a workshop in Jubail and we will also open one in the north in the next few months.”

He continued: “We are always talking to our dealers, sales people, service people, to find out where they are travelling to.”
