The UAE’s Ministry of Public Works has revealed that it will release a major tender next month for a section on the continuing development of the Outer Bypass Road in the UAE. 

Work on the last phase of the road that extends from Dubai through Sharjah was completed in June and involved the construction of a 24 km stretch of highway in a contract worth $54 million.

The second phase will extend the road by 17km to Ras al Khaimah with the total contract value of $46 million.

Speaking at InterMat Middle East, Eng Asdam Mohammed Al-Ghazawy, senior project manager at the Ministry of Public Works said that tender documents were being prepared for  November annoucement.
