Construction equipment manufacturer Ammann Group has announced the signing of a contract to acquire the German concrete plant manufacturer Elba.

Expected to be completed in March, once the acquisition has been approved by the cartel authorities, the deal will see Ammann add a range of high-quality concrete mixing plants to its already extensive range of equipment.

And the deal may come as no surprise to the industry, with many medium-sized German manufacturers of concrete equipment having been acquired by larger companies in recent years.

According to the Switzerland-headquartered Ammann Group, the acquisition will round off portfolio perfectly and is an ideal complement to the existing asphalt mixing plant and machine divisions.
