Five new intersections will be built in Saudi Arabia by the Jeddah municipality at a cost of $267 million, it was reported.
The intersections will be built on Prince Majed Road in Jeddah, said Mohamed Al-Buqami, spokesman of the municipality, according to Arab News.
The city is building the intersections in a bid to ease traffic congestion, it was reported. 
The time-frame for construction depends on how quickly Jeddah can assess and compensate citizens for property appropriations, Al-Buqami said, urging people to cooperate by submitting the necessary documents. Compensation will be about $1,333 per sq. m, it was reported.
Other projects will be undertaken to build a highway along the same route and linked to the Jeddah-Laith Highway, with contractors set to begin working in the next few weeks.
