Developers of Oman’s ‘The Wave, Muscat’ have announced they will break ground for the Al Marsa Village Centre in the coming months.
The new development will increase retail opportunities offered by The Wave, Muscat to 12,500m2 by 2014. Construction work is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2014.
Set to become the main retail destination within The Wave, Muscat, the village centre development will include a combined total of 10,500m2 of retail and commercial space for lease, including 400 dedicated car parking spaces. 
The Wave, Muscat is located on a continuous seafront site in the sultanate’s capital city, and is developed by a joint venture between the Omani government, UAE-based Majid al Futtaim Investments (MAFI) and the Omani pension funds.
