Ashghal extends bid deadline for commercial centre

Building to have a total built up area of 62,265 m2, with winning bidder also responsible for electromechanical works

The bid deadline for the contract to build a commercial centre in the Qatari capital, Doha, has been extendedby the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) until July 17 for contractors to submit bids for the construction package.

The building will have two basement floors, ground floor with arcade and two floors with a total built-up area of 62,265 m2. According to the tender documents, the winning bidder will also be responsible for the electromechanical works, a report by MEED said.

Ashghal has recently received bids for the contract to build a general cleaning complex at Mesaimeer. The project will cover a total area of 90,000 m2 and will contain integrated facilities for government cleaning equipment and accommodation for employees.
